Eran Chen, AIA

Eran Chen is the Founding Principal and Executive Director of ODA. Since establishing the office in 2007 he has become one of the most prolific architects in New York. Chen has gained a reputation for delivering mold-breaking designs that will deliver a better urban future. His work has been widely published around the world and recognized amongst others by the American Institute of Architects and the Society of American Registered Architects. Chen graduated with honors from the Bezalel School of Art and Design in Jerusalem, where he serves on the board and as guest lecturer. He is a frequent speaker at design and development forums, as well as architecture schools including Columbia University, Clemson University, Syracuse University, Carnegie Mellon School of Architecture, and The Technion in Haifa. Recent projects include the renovation of the former Postkantoor in Rotterdam, the conversion of the Arbuckle Sugar Refinery at 10 Jay into offices and the 420 Kent towers in Williamsburg’s Waterfront. His writings on architecture have been published in ODA’s latest book, Unboxing New York.

Christian Bailey, AIA

Principal and Project Director, P. Christian Bailey, AIA, LEED(r), studied architecture at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia. After graduating with a Bachelor of Architecture, he worked with design/build firms in Atlanta on various notable housing and furniture projects. Prior to ODA, Christian was a senior associate at Perkins Eastman Architects in New York City. During his seven years at the firm, Christian provided project management and design leadership for multifamily housing, hospitality, interiors, health care, and educational projects. Christian is a founding principal of the architecture and design practice, ODA. He is a registered architect in the State of New York, a member of the American Institute of Architecture, a LEED accredited professional and is best known for his mildly sympathetic manner and generally nonplussed attitude toward everything.

Ryoko Okada

Ryoko Okada has been a Principal and Director of Interiors since ODA's foundation in 2007. Ryoko, a certified interior designer in the State of New York, has had an extensive history of working on a variety of interior and architectural design projects in the United States and abroad. Her broad professional experience includes numerous hospitality, residential, retail, and theater projects. Ryoko received a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design from Chiba University in Japan and a Master’s degree in Interior Design from Pratt Institute in New York. Prior to joining ODA her other selected firm experiences include Jeffrey Beers International, Rockwell Architecture, Planning and Design, Perkins Eastman and Hardy Holzman Pfeiffer Associates. Her work has been featured in New York Times, Architectural Digest, Hospitality Design, Interior Design and New York Spaces, among others.

Dongyoung Kim

Director of Operations and Principal, Dongyoung Kim has been integral in helping ODA become one of the more notable firms in New York, overseeing the day to day operations and helping to structure the growth of the firm from a start-up to one recognized internationally. Prior to his involvement in operations, he oversaw ODA’s construction administration efforts at which time ODA was involved in over 3 million square feet of construction. Throughout the years, he has played critical roles in helping to realize a multitude of projects, such as 15 Union Square West, 51 Jay, Pier 6, and 420 Kent Avenue. Prior to ODA, Dongyoung was an architect at Perkins Eastman and earned his Professional Bachelors of Architecture from the Cooper Union learning under notable architects such as the late Raimund Abraham and Lebbeus Woods.

Alexandra Polier

Senior Vice President of Business Development and Communications, Alexandra Polier is a media and communications expert with more than 20 years of experience. After graduating from Columbia Journalism School she spent a decade as a foreign correspondent in Europe and Africa before returning to New York in 2009 to work in public relations. Alex has worked as the Director of Communications for both Richard Meier & Partners and Dwell Media. She opened the strategic consulting firm DNA in 2015 where she represented leading international architecture and design firms. She joined ODA in January 2020 to head business development strategy. She is a Board Member of Terreform ONE, a nonprofit architecture and urban design studio aimed at combating the extinction of all planetary species through pioneering acts of design. She is also an active member of ULI.

Olivera Grk, AIA

Olivera Grk is a Principal and Project Director at ODA. Since joining in 2013 she has led the design of large scale projects totaling over twenty-five million square feet, including the towers at 420 Kent Avenue in New York, 1045 Olive Street in Los Angeles, the mixed-use complex El Plaza Condesa in Mexico City, as well as the winning international competitions for the MAZD Territory masterplan and Badaevskiy in Moscow. Her career at ODA also encompasses work on their vast high-end residential portfolio. Prior to joining ODA, Olivera worked for the OMA New York office where she collaborated with world renowned artist Marina Abramović. Olivera earned her graduate degree in Architecture from the University of Belgrade as the Valedictorian of her class. She obtained a Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation, where she was granted the Honor Award for Excellence in Design and the William Kinne Travel Grant. She is a registered architect in New York State and a member of the American Institute of Architects.

Michael Unsicker, AIA

Principal and Project Director, Michael Unsicker joined ODA in 2016 and has since applied his experienced-based professional knowledge to a range of projects that vary in type, scale, and location, with a focus on multi-family residential. Michael's studies include the AIA Architectural Apprentice Program with the State of Vermont, a curriculum with the Architecture and Design Department of Denmark’s International Study Program, and a two-month placement as a visiting architect at BRAC University of Bangladesh. Michael has been a key team member on many of ODA's marquee projects, including Hunters Point South in Queens, Parcel 8 in Washington, DC, and Post Rotterdam in the Netherlands, Les Mercuriales Towers in Paris, and the Innovation QNS master plan in New York. Prior to joining ODA, Michael worked with Rafael Viñoly Architects, GKV Architects, and Tsoi / Kobus & Associates.

Gene Pyo

Gene Pyo is a Project Director and Associate at ODA, using his technical and architectural expertise to support project teams with effective communication and personalized client service. In his role, he manages relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and other representatives, ensuring established goals are met for all. Gene earned his Bachelor of Science in Architectural Design from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and his Master in Architecture from Harvard University Graduate School of Design. He is a registered architect in New York State, a member of the American Institute of Architects, and a LEED Accredited Professional. While at ODA, Gene has led key projects, including 75 Nassau Street, a residential tower in downtown Manhattan, Icon29 mixed-use project in Pittsburgh’s historic Strip District, and Luxelakes residential towers and retail in Chengdu, China. He is also overseeing the renovation and expansion of the historic Book Building and Tower in Detroit. Prior to joining ODA, Gene served as principal for 5+design in Los Angeles. There he developed concepts, design directions, and narratives for competition-winning, high-profile projects including Sadiyaat Island Cultural Canal Precinct in Abu Dhabi, China World Trade Center redevelopment and expansion in Beijing, and Dubai Design District Waterfront and Cultural Hub, among others.

Chris Berino

Technical Director, Chris is a native New Yorker. He received his undergraduate degree in Finance as well as a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the New York Institute of Technology. Prior to working at ODA, Chris acquired hands-on experience working for a design/build firm where he gained knowledge and understanding of construction methods and building code. His expertise in all phases of architecture from design and planning through construction administration has been essential in his professional development at ODA. As a senior project architect, Chris is now responsible for directing a diverse range of projects in the greater New York City area. Chris is currently working on several mixed-use development projects.

Kris Levine

Technical Director, Kris has with ODA since 2008. He received his Master of Architecture degree from Syracuse University in Florence, Italy and his Bachelor of Architecture from New York Institute of Technology. Kris started his work experience with Beckhard Richlan Szerbaty & Associates, a descendant firm of Marcel Breuer. There he gained firsthand knowledge of modernism and the legacy of Marcel Breuer while working on various high end health care facilities, institutional and residential buildings. Kris has also worked on various high end residential and commercial interiors in New York, California and Tokyo with Mr. Yutaka Takiura, AIA, NCARB. Kris teaches as an adjunct studio professor at New York Institute of Technology School of Architecture. A native New Yorker, Kris enjoys traveling through Italy and spending time with his family.

François Bléhaut

Director of Landscape, François obtained a degree in Architecture from Ecole Nationale Superieure Paris Val de Seine. After discovering Landscape Architecture and Urban Design through an internship at Group Signes Paris, Francois decided to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture at the Ecole Superieure d’Architecture des Jardins et du Paysage. He started his US career in Washington, D.C. where he focused on urban design at PRI Landscape Architects. He then moved to New York and worked with firms such as ABB Landscape Architects and Gunn Landscape Architects on multiple gardens, roof tops and urban parks, in addition to several freelance projects. Overall, Francois has designed more than 20 unique projects in New York City and the Hamptons. He refers to his work as “mixed Landscape Design” where garden site lines and axes create a strong frame for a wild and naturalistic planting. He believes that the most successful landscape design integrates the sky and natural elements. Francois joins ODA as a Landscape Architect and hopes to utilize his knowledge and expertise on various landscape projects. In his free time, he enjoys scuba diving, trekking, sailing, and gardening. Since the age of 6, he has had an obsession with building tree houses.

Katherine Mendez

Director of Interiors, Katherine is from New York City and grew up in Queens. She studied architecture in Boston, MA at Wentworth Institute of Technology where she received both her Bachelor of Science and a master’s degree in architecture. While at Wentworth, Katherine had the opportunity to travel to Athens, Greece to study public spaces within a dense urban fabric. While there, she became very interested in the contrast between voids and the built environment and focused her research on how urban voids can inform their surrounding architecture both physically and socially. Katherine enjoys designing spaces that are simple and elegant yet interesting. She believes the allure of minimal spaces is found in well executed details, and this idea is tantamount to her design process; Katherine takes the time to understand the materiality of an area in order to create layered, multidimensional spaces. Before joining ODA, Katherine worked at Groves & Co., a small architecture and interior design firm in Chelsea, where she was the project manager/designer of a high-end residential project in the West Village. Katherine also had the opportunity to work at Elkus Manfredi Architects in Boston as a junior architect. At EMA, she worked on the construction administration of three new buildings on the Rutgers University campus in New Jersey. Katherine has worked on everything from conceptual design to construction administration to furniture design.

Matt Adler

Matt Adler is a New York State Registered Architect specialized in translating complex geometries into buildable solutions. Prior to joining ODA, Matt was an Architect at Populous, where he took the lead on exterior enclosure design for high-profile sports and entertainment projects in the United States, Canada, and Japan, and a member of SOM’s adaptive reuse practice, where his work focused on the transformation of aging New York City commercial and residential towers. Matt's passion for maintaining and executing design intent has led to his focus on detailing, his close coordination with contractors and specialty fabricators, and his oversight of budget reconciliation processes. Matt received his Bachelor of Architecture from Carnegie Mellon University.

Matt Boker

Team Leader and Associate, Matt Boker earned his Master of Architecture at Pratt Institute after achieving a B.S. at the University of Idaho and student teaching its architecture program in Rome. Prior to joining ODA, Matt worked for Woods Bagot designing large mixed-use tower projects in New York and New Jersey. He is LEED AP BD+C certified, is an active member of ULI, and is on ULI's YLG Programming Committee. During his time at ODA, Matt has worked on projects varying in typologies, including luxury condos and master plans in New York, mixed-use developments in Washington D.C., commercial projects in Argentina, and a museum proposal in Israel.

Lakshmi Budhu

Born, raised, and educated in Guyana, Lakshmi moved to the United States in 1999. Prior to joining ODA, she was the Office Manager at Thomas Balsley Associates as well as Studio Joseph in New York City and has acquired over 15 years of office administration experience in the architecture field.

Kelly Burke

Communications Strategist, Kelly Burke works on the business development and marketing team at ODA. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and Advertising from Indiana University's Media School. Prior to joining ODA in 2020, Kelly worked at a major advertising agency in New York running campaigns for a national retail brand, as well as a boutique PR agency representing a handful of architecture, design and technology clients. Her favorite ODA projects are POST Rotterdam, 10 Jay and Quay Tower.

Anirudh Chandar

Anirudh is an Architectural Designer from Chennai, India. He graduated from the National University of Singapore with a B.A in Architecture in 2014 and a Master of Architecture from Columbia University in 2021. He is interested in combining ideas of sustainability with material and structural innovations through an iterative process to produce equitable and exciting architecture. Anirudh’s past professional experience spans hydrological urbanism and exhibition spaces at Pencil Office in Singapore, a healthcare facility at Stephen Yablon Architecture in New York along with residential and commercial work in India at KSM Architecture. His past research interests include flood-resiliency in Southeast Asia, mass-timber systems, urban energy and pollution alternatives, and computational urban design.

Don Chen

Junior Architectural Designer, Ching-Lun Chen, aka Don, received his Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design from Cornell University, where he was granted the Kittleman Graduate Award, Teaching Assistantship, and the Mellon Fellowship. Originally from Taiwan, Ching-Lun earned his professional degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University with a minor in business administration. His study abroad semester in Technical University Munich enriched his comprehension of context, materiality, and spatial eternity. Prior to joining ODA, Ching-Lun worked on projects including a 60-story residential tower, a 21-story high-rise office headquarters, a 150,000 sq ft healthcare expansion, and the interior design of 1,500 sq ft high-end flat. Ching-Lun is LEED AP BD+C and LEED Green Associate certified.

Vladimir Chervoniuk

Team Leader and Assocaite Vladimir Chervoniuk has about 7 years of experience. After graduating from Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture he spent 2 years working as an interior designer in Kyiv before moving to New York in 2015. Vlad has worked as the architect for several New York-based architectural firms prior to joining ODA in 2018. When not working on various studies and competitions, Vlad spends most of his time at ODA on several projects around Moscow. Currently, Vlad is working on becoming a Registered Architect, which expected to happen by the end of 2021.

Amaya D'Souza

Junior Architectural Designer Amaya D'Souza is originally from India and earned her Bachelor of Architecture from the Balwant Sheth School of Architecture in Mumbai. After graduating she worked at Sameep Padora and Associates for over two years. Amaya led the firm’s pro-bono efforts in Bandra Collective – a group of architects in Mumbai working alongside elected officials to create urban interventions especially for sensitive communities. Amaya moved to the U.S. in 2019 to pursue a Master in Advanced Architectural Design at the University of Texas at Austin. Her influences and interests have been the rich social and cultural practices she has seen in India, current issues like sustainability, and the ability of architecture to respond to these issues through its own typological absoluteness.

Jamie Edindjiiklian

Architectural Designer Jamie Edindjiklian earned her Master of Architecture from Yale University and Bachelor of Architecture from the City College of New York (CUNY). Prior to joining ODA, Jamie worked at Zaha Hadid Architects and Woods Bagot London Studio. Her body of work has mainly centered on concept phase and competitions, spanning small scale objects and installations to urban scale master plans. Most recently, Jamie spent several months working with SYSTEMarchitects on construction administration at the intersection of complex geometry and fabrication technologies. Currently, Jamie is a member of the board of directors for the AIA UK chapter where she co-chairs the Emerging Professionals committee. She also works as a graphics and drawing consultant, teaching part time in the Master of Architecture program at CCNY.

Julia Fidelis

Intermediate Interior Designer Julia Fidelis received her bachelor’s degree in Architecture and Urban Design from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and spent a year abroad at the Universidad de Alcalá de Henares in Spain. She has explored different paths, experiencing urban design, interior design, as well as architecture projects. In 2017 Julia started working for Specter DeSouza Architects where she was involved in several projects from concept design to construction management. Julia always thinks about volumes, openings and closings, textures, as well as layers when approaching interior projects. Recently, she received her WELL AP and LEED Green Associate credentials.

Patricia Gortari

Senior Team Leader and Associate Patricia Gortari has extended experience developing residential, commercial and mixed-used projects. Since joining ODA in 2015 she has led a range of projects including 555 Broadway, 98 Front St., 56 N Moore and 175 Chrystie. She also worked as a key member in 809 Broadway, Parcel B and 212W 93rd, amongst others. Patricia adds her multicultural perspective and leadership skills to ODA contributing to shape the office culture and identity, spreading its design vision as one of the authors of ODA’s first book ‘Unboxing New York’ published in 2019. Patricia earned her master’s degree from the School of Architecture of Barcelona (ETSAB) and from the Spitzer School of Architecture at City College (CCNY). Prior to joining ODA she has worked internationally in Spain and in the U.K at Bond Bryan Architects.

Matt Hallstein

Interior Designer Matt Hallstein studied Architecture at Pratt Institute where he earned his Master of Architecture. Originally from San Antonio, Matt attended the University of Texas where he achieved a B.S. in Architecture before leaving to pursue an education in New York City. Matt began his work experience at a small boutique architecture firm in Manhattan specializing in renovations for high-end private residences. Prior to joining ODA, he was part of the Interiors team at Morris Adjmi Architects where he was responsible for contributing to numerous designs of multi-family residential and commercial buildings. Matt also acted as the firm’s librarian for the materials library.

Jacob Hedaya

Architectural Designer Jacob Hedaya joined ODA in 2018 after graduating from Pratt Institute with a Bachelors in Architecture. His thesis exploring the role of big tech in the urban environment of New York City was awarded with distinction. Jacob participates in a range of projects on a variety of scale and phases, focusing on competitions as well as concept design. He sees architecture as a way to explore curiosities in the urban condition; a craft at the confluence of social, urban, and ecological issues. Jacob comes to the office with a multidisciplinary background spanning fashion and industrial design, as well as digital fabrication; he uses his expertise in additive manufacturing to manage the model shop and produce presentation models. Jacob participated in the winning competition entry for the MAZD territory, as well as the concept design for the masterplan at Innovation QNS in Astoria, NY.

Sofia Herrero

Intermediate Interior Designer, Sofia Herrero is from Washington, D.C. With a Master of Architecture from Virginia Tech and six years of previous work experience with IA, FXCollaborative, and private contracts, she has completed projects in the commercial, corporate, hospitality, and institutional sectors in New York City and around the country. With an undergraduate background in biochemistry, she has a special interest in wellbeing and sustainability in architecture and interiors. She takes great responsibility in creating elegant and meaningful design that is in harmony with the living environment. Outside of work, she has volunteered her time to various organizations including Dupont Underground, Pechakucha, and AIA committees and loves to travel and explore built environments in cities around the world.

Dan Hoch

Architectural Designer Dan Hoch joined ODA in 2021. Dan graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with a B.A. in Landscape Architecture in 2011, and earned his M.Arch from The Pratt Institute in 2015. Since then, he has worked on the design and production of a wide range of commercial, residential, and civic architecture projects; most notably the modernization of the Union Station Concourse in Washington D.C. As a designer, Dan's interests have developed along the cross section of Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Urban Design – with an emphasis on digital modeling and scripting as a means to craft novel user experiences.

Aykut Imer

Aykut Imer is an Architectural Designer from Istanbul, Turkey. With previous exposure in multiple fields, he approaches design as an interdisciplinary affair at the intersection of technological innovation and social sciences. Prior to joining ODA, he held positions at EYP and Laufs Engineering Design, where his work focused on design and fabrication of specialty structures and facades; and more recently with Rafael Viñoly Architects, where he contributed to projects in residential, civic, and recreational typologies in all architectural phases. His ongoing research interests involve investigation of architectural typologies that could enable novel land use paradigms. Aykut holds a Bachelor of Engineering from Vanderbilt University where he studied civil engineering and art history, and a Master of Architecture with honors from Washington University in St. Louis. He is also a LEED accredited professional.

Brianna Lazzaro

Executive Assistant, Brianna Lazzaro is an administrative professional with more than 5 years of experience. After graduating from SUNY Albany with a Bachelor's in Journalism, she spent her early years managing social media platforms for casinos in the United States. Brianna moved on to managing social media campaigns for pharmaceutical clients at the PR agency Chandler Chicco Companies. Brianna has worked as the Event Director for Fraunces Tavern, a historic landmark building in downtown Manhattan, and has worked as the Catering Director for the PR agency Ogilvy & Mather. She joined ODA in March 2020 as the executive assistant to the founder, Eran Chen.

Michelle Le

Architectural Designer, Michelle Le joined ODA in 2018 after graduating with a Bachelor of Architecture from Virginia Polytechnic Institute. Prior to joining, she was heavily involved with several design build projects including, deployable disaster relief homes and the winning net-zero, prefabricated home entry in the 2018 Solar Decathlon Middle East Competition. At ODA, Michelle has worked on several projects of different scales and programs such as, the National Landing project in Washington D.C, luxury condo, commercial and cultural projects in both Argentina and Moscow, and museum proposals in Israel and Shenzhen.

Konrad Nieradka

Team Leader Konrad Nieradka joined the ODA team in 2021. Konrad earned a master’s degree in Architecture and Urban Planning at the Silesian University of Technology in Poland, where he was influenced by Swiss and Scandinavian modernism. After receiving multiple nominations and awards for competitions and his thesis project Lubuska Vineyard, he worked in APA Wojciechowski focusing on high-end multi-family residential, large office and mixed-use buildings, and complexes like EC Powisle (Mies van Der Rohe Award 2022 Nomination, MIPIM 2021 Best Mixed-Use Development Winner), Warsaw Skyliner (Prime Property Prize 2021) and Port Praski (Top Builder 2018). Looking for ways to make the design process more efficient, he completed a post-graduate degree in Project Management at SGH Warsaw School of Economics. In 2016 Konrad relocated to the United Kingdom and worked in London for 5 years on a variety of public space, residential, HQ and commercial projects, most recently on the +10,000,000 SF Euston HS2 Station and Masterplan projects at Grimshaw. While in London, he continued his professional education at the Bartlett School of Architecture.

Max Park

Max Park is a New York State Registered Architect from Seoul, Korea. He earned his Bachelor of Architecture from Carnegie Mellon University. Prior to joining ODA, he worked at Leroy Street Studio where he took leading roles in high-end residential and public projects in the city from concept through construction administration. Influenced by the materiality and a sense of place architecture can bring to people, he seeks to create spaces that are contextual and culturally appropriate. His experience in community engagement and design-build projects contributes to his collaborative approach to architecture that engages and empathizes with people.

Belen Pena

Belen was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and holds an undergraduate degree at the Universidad de Belgrano. It was there that she realized she was ultimately inspired by the architecture and structure of garments and their construction, and soon decided to return to higher-learning to earn her master’s degree in architecture. Prior to joining ODA, Belen worked at Tonychi & Associates where she expanded her knowledge in high-end hospitality design. While at Tonychi, she was involved in various project phases, with a focus on master planning. Before relocating to the United States, Belen also worked at Plan Arquitectura in Argentina as a licensed architect and interior designer, where she was an integral part of a wide range of national and international projects, ranging from hospitality to residential and retail design.

Joanna Regiec

ODA's Office Manager since 2014, Joanna Regiec utilizes her administrative and HR experience to help develop, implement, and maintain protocols and procedures, as well as ensure that the office runs smoothly and efficiently at all times. She obtained her SHRM-CP certification in 2017 and became an Associate of the firm in 2018. She is also a Notary Public in the state of New York. Joanna graduated from Rutgers University in 2010 with a concentration in Graphic Design and a minor in Art History. Prior to joining the team at ODA, Joanna worked in administrative roles in both office and art gallery settings.

Alex Rossetti

Junior Architectural Designer, Alex Rosetti obtained both his B.S and Master of Architecture from Taubman College of Architecture & Urban Planning at the University of Michigan. Alex has worked onboard several projects, including Innovation QNS, a master plan in Astoria. Prior to joining ODA, Alex worked in Detroit and Seattle on projects in sports, entertainment, hospitality and education. Keith Sagliocca

Team Leader Keith Sagliocca studied at Pratt Institute where he earned a Bachelors of Architecture. His professional experience includes leading project teams on multi-family residential, mixed-use, and commercial developments within and around New York City. Prior to joining ODA he worked at Woods Bagot where he was responsible for the design and delivery of award winning projects across a variety of typologies and scales. Keith enjoys collaborating with clients to create a vision for their project and working with the project team to develop and deliver the design.

Jessica Schoen

Senior Interior Designer, Jessica Schoen joined ODA in 2018. Originally from California, she has worked in many locations focusing primarily on hospitality projects from Austin, Texas to Denver, Colorado and came to New York after working abroad in Melbourne, Australia. Since joining ODA she has participated in all phases of interiors projects from concept through to construction administration. She has been a key member on luxury upper west side condo projects 2505 Broadway and 2461 Broadway. Most recently she helmed the interior design on the Book Tower Food & Beverage, a large renovation project located in Detroit.

Christopher Sjoberg

Christopher Sjoberg serves ODA as a Team Leader and an Associate for both developer and private clients. Notably, on 2505 Broadway, a 110,00 SF luxury residential condo building on the Upper West Side, Christopher guided the architecture team from initial schematic design through construction document phases and is now managing the project through construction administration. His experience includes design development, consultant coordination, zoning and code review, DOB filing procedures, and project management. Christopher earned a B.A. in Environmental Design with top honors from Montana State University - Bozeman in 2010, and a Masters of Engineering from the University of Tokyo Department of Architecture in 2014, where his research intertwined urbanism, digital technologies, and material innovation. He brings to projects a passion for imaginative design concepts and a penchant for practical solution making.

Rachel Spampinato

Architectural Designer Rachel Spampinato was born and raised in Astoria, Queens. She earned her Bachelor of Architecture from the New York Institute of Technology. Having the opportunity to travel to Mexico City for her thesis allowed Rachel to experience projects by Louis Barragan and Tatiana Bilbao who have inspired her to pursue intimate spatial design. After graduating, Rachel pursued a Design Build opportunity in Los Angeles with Built Inc. where she was exposed to high end hospitality projects in West Hollywood collaborating with an experienced tradesman. Rachel also worked for a mid-size, efficiency-based firm that focused on maximizing a project’s potential within the client’s monetary means. She worked on projects ranging from supermarkets to movie studios along with numerous residential projects varying from 9 to 299 family units. Rachel approaches design with meaningful and empowering components which affect the individual in the most intimate way.

Akshay Surana

Akshay Surana is a Team Leader at ODA who has worked on residential projects of various scales, including 2461 Broadway and 2 Sherman Ave. Most recently, his design efforts have been towards the renovation and re-programming of the Book Tower in Detroit. Prior to joining ODA, Akshay worked at Robert A. M. Stern Architects on several multi-family residential projects in the United States and China. Originally from India, he earned his Bachelors in Architecture and after gaining practical experience in Mumbai, moved to the United States to pursue further education. He earned a Masters in Architecture from Cornell University in 2015.

Alex Tahinos

Architectural Designer Alex Tahinos has a wide variety of working experience, ranging from product design to master planning. He earned his master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania and an undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland. Prior to joining ODA, Alex worked at Studio Libeskind in New York, UNStudio in Amsterdam, and has collaborated with SU11, Young & Ayata, as well as Mark Foster Gage. He currently teaches at Pratt’s Graduate Architecture and Urban Design program in Brooklyn and is often a guest critic at Pratt, the University of Pennsylvania, and Ohio State University.

Diana Tao

Landscape Designer Diana Tao is a native New Yorker and is interested in the social dynamics of public spaces, and in revitalizing urban culture in her hometown. Her experience in landscape architecture comes from managing and contributing to the design of public urban spaces, waterfront parks, affordable housing developments, and master plans across New York City. These projects include Lower Manhattan Coastal Resiliency, Brooklyn Bridge Park, NYCHA Playspace Master Plan, and Astoria Anchor Park and Master Plan. Prior to joining ODA as a Landscape Designer, she worked at Nancy Owens Studio, Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates, and AECOM NY. Diana studied Architecture and Urbanism as well as East Asian Language and Literature at Smith College and holds a master’s degree from Harvard Graduate School of Design. She is able to leverage her background in both architecture and landscape to create high-quality designs and well-loved spaces.

Alex Tehranian

Alex Tehranian, a Registered Architect in New York, is currently responsible for Parcel 8 at The Wharf in Washington, DC. With more than a decade of experience, Alex has worked at renowned firms such as SOM, REX, and Neil M. Denari Architects in New York and Los Angeles prior to joining ODA. There he was responsible for the design of a range of residential, commercial, institutional, infrastructure and master planning projects design projects across the US, Europe, China, and the Middle East. He received his graduate degree in architecture from Rice University and his undergraduate degree in finance from Georgetown University.

Audrey Topp

Project Architect and Associate Audrey Topp earned her Bachelor of Architecture from Virginia Tech in 2014, where she studied the importance of theory and craft. Directly from there, she studied at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation in the Advanced Architectural Design program where she earned a Master’s of Science of Architecture degree. Audrey joined ODA in 2015 and has since worked on multiple projects, including 10 Montieth, Post Rotterdam, 561 Pacific, and 555 Broadway.

Michael Wysochanski

Architect Michael Wysochanski joined ODA in 2021 and is Registered in New York State. He studied at the University of Buffalo School of Architecture and Planning and Southern California Institute of Architecture in Los Angeles. Since graduating, he has gained over a decade of experience working with several award-winning boutique offices in the United States and internationally, including Adam Sokol Architecture Practice in Los Angeles and Tezuka Architects in Tokyo. Michael has experience working on a broad range of typologies including healthcare, residential, offices, retail, and Buddhist retreats. He has also traveled extensively with a particular interest in historic and vernacular architecture, looking for qualities that are universal and timeless and therefore serve as lessons for contemporary aesthetics, construction, urbanism, and social engagement in design.

Haroon Yousaf

ODA’s Accountant, Haroon Yousaf graduated from Oxford Brookes University in 2012 with concentration in Accounting and is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). Before moving to New York in 2017, Haroon worked for an architecture company in Dubai. He joined ODA in 2018 and works alongside the Chief Financial Officer to ensure ODA financial books are kept up to date.

Pablo Zepeda

Pablo Zepeda is a Senior Team Leader for ODA with over 15 years of experience. While at ODA, he has worked on 75 Nassau and Innovation QNS. Pablo attended the Southern California Institute of Architecture, earning a Bachelor of Architecture. Before joining ODA in 2018, Pablo worked for OMA, Gensler, Frank Gehry Partners and Stereo.bot. Pablo's design experience includes skyscrapers, museums, exhibitions, large scale installations, galleries, concert halls, master plans, mixed-use developments, and shipping container architecture. Pablo has worked on several iconic projects including the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi Museum, Guggenheim Museum Bilbao Renovation, Philadelphia Museum of Art: Renovation and Expansion, and Grand Avenue Development in Los Angeles.
